DIGITIZATION ROJECTS
The Indian Journal of Social Work (IJSW) is a pioneering publication of the social work profession in India, published by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The IJSW is published every January, April, July and October, and has entered its 69th year of uninterrupted publishing, a record in journal publishing. The first issue of the IJSW was published in June 1940. SDTM LIbrary took the memmoth task of digitizing the journal since 1940. The database include all the articles,book reviews and notes published in Indian Journal of Social Work from Vol.1-69 (1940-2008). All the articles are in pdf format. Sociological Bulletin is the official journal of the Indian Sociological Society, started in the year 1952. The collection includes all the full text articles published in the journal "Sociological Bulletin " from 1952-2006. It is published thrice a year: January-April, May-August, and September-December. The digitisation work has been carried out at Sir Dorabji Tata Memorial Library, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. There are more than 600 research articles available in the collection. The CD of the Sociological Bulletin was officially launched at 33rd All India Sociological Conference held at Dept. of Sociology, Karnataka University, Dharwad (Karnataka State), 29-30 November to 1st December, 2007. There was a overwhelming response for the CD among the participants of the conference.
Parsee Literature: 150 years old Parsee literature of 10,000 pages has been digitized and made it available for the reference in CD-ROM format. The literature was in Gujarati script and the language was Parsee. Entire 32 volumes have been accommodated in THREE CDs.
